Welcome.
Welcome to Sundancer's website here you will be able to find out all the information you need about this fantastic catamaran.
Sundancer was purchased in Thailand in 2003. She has had a 2 year refit and recently completed sea trials which involved a journey to the Andaman Islands – a group of island 400miles offshore to the west of Thailand.
Sundancer is a strong, safe and fast vessel equipped with thoroughly up-to-date instrumentation and facilities and is the only yacht in Asia with Solomon Electric Engines. These engines are small and quiet and enable Sundancer to manoeuvre around anchorages and marinas in complete silence – no more shouting at the crew on the bow! A state-of-the-art Fisher Panda generator takes care of longer trips when motoring is required.
Sundancer’s owner has decided that the time is now right to offer Sundancer as a charter vessel, in the hands of Captain Simon Andrews who is a lifetime sailor and one of the least gung-ho Australians that the owner has had the pleasure of meeting. Simon will teach you to sail or not as you wish: there is plenty of opportunity for both work and leisure aboard Sundancer.

Activities.
Here are some of the fun things that will be available to you for your trip:
2 Kayaks: A Feathercraft “sit-on-top” and a Sea Eagle.

They both can take 2 people. The Feathercraft is sleek, fast and for the experienced: the Sea Eagle will cope with any kind of abuse!
An eight man 15hp rubber dingy is also available along with “Swifty” – a small “unsinkable” sailing dingy that also takes a 3hp outboard and is a great little boat for learning to sail.

Life Aboard.
Unlike the spatial constraints of Monohulls, Sundancer has plenty of space to cope with up to 8 people. The deck space is just enormous as shown here:

Those opening hatches you see on the nearside of the saloon are another unique feature of this vessel, which enables a good through-draft: something that many cats lack because they have windows that make a “greenhouse” effect and the saloon gets very hot. In the sheltered cockpit beyond there is a lively debate going on, with the “garden bench” feature – another brilliant idea that enables one to sit at such a height that forward visibility is perfect.

Sundancer is “galley down” and has some of the biggest fridge/freezer facilities in any yacht! Apart from the Cockpit cooler/freezer there are two large fridge/freezers in the galley enabling Sundancer to carry enough food and cool drinks/wine/beer etc to last you well beyond your planned charter time.
Each of the four double cabins has its own private shower/toilet (or “head” if you are that way inclined). None of the cabins are “walk-through” and two are air-conditioned.
